Easily distracted by shiny things |Nashville photographer

As you may have noticed with all “The Voice” and “American Idol” contestants.  Bling rings are all the rage right now.  Being a “foo foo” girlie girl, I am easily distracted by shiny things (think Dora from Finding Nemo, lol).  So you can say that I was slightly excited~ ok a lot excited when I found a new store (new to me:)) while shopping with Saydie this past week.  It is called Charming Charlies and it is the ultimate in Shiny, foo foo girlie girl accessories.  If you haven’t had a chance to go there I would definitely find one in your area.  It’s affordable and absolutely the funnest girlie store I have been to in a long time.  It’s layout is all done in colors, which I love!  So if you are looking for something to go with a specific out fit you can just head toward that color.  Otherwise you might get sidetracked by all the shiny stuff!

Baby Duck Sessions |Nashville photography

Well last week was a blast having my Saydie here all week.  We spent a lot of time together just hanging out and staying up late talking.  I loved it!  Miss her tons! One of  the really fun parts was having her here when the baby ducks came.  They were the cutest little things ever!  She wanted to take one home with her and we were even thinking about calling the airport to see if she could get through security. But in the end she decided she already had too much to carry (we shopped a lot, lol), so she left them here.  But we took a couple of pictures for her to remember.  Isn’t she just the cutest little chick ever?  Love her!  Oh and I guess the ducks were pretty cute too, lol.  The ducks are now residing at the Tractor Supply Co. on Lebanon rd. just east of Tulip Grove rd if you didn’t get a chance to see them.  They are giving them away FREE there!

What cute pictures! What I wouldn’t give to have you take pics of my kids with those duckies! Oh how I miss the 2 of you! Glad she was able to come and spend time with you there.

Only in the South!|Nashville/Salt Lake City photographer

I was out driving yesterday and pulled up too this truck, and it struck me that you would never find a business like this in the midwest!  This past summer my friend caught 2 raccoons and a couple of possums, and his cat once too, lol, poor little guy, he was stuck in the trap all night long!  Just in case you can’t read it it says:  wild life problems?  We remove squirrels, skunks, raccoons and more!  Too funny!

I am announcing my  “Spring Special” (can you say “cute little duckies?”) and for those of you UT clients that can’t make it to Tennessee for a session,;).  If it all works out and you show interest in it, I will schedule it for when I come home to visit in May! YAY!

The East and Nascar |Nashville/Salt Lake Photography

When it comes to Nascar I’d have to say that I am definitely not in the know!  I am so surprised to find out how many people in the East are huge Nascar fans!  So much so that they start their kids in something called Quarter Midget Racing at the age of 5!  One of the best racetracks in the East for Quarter Midget Racing, just happens to be right down the street from me.  Having been doing some HDR photography recently, I thought it would be very cool, (or rather, my boyfriend thought), to go out to the racetrack and take some cool shots of the track.  So we hooked up with one of the father’s of a racer.  We set up a time for them to come to my place so that I could photograph the eleven year old.  He brought a friend, also eleven, so I took photos of them both.  Then we went down to the track and photographed that.  Apparently there is a huge race in just a few weeks, so we saw this as an opportunity for me to get some business.  Not exactly my normal thing, but who knows what it could work into.  So here are a couple of the samples that I made up.  I have to say that it is a real treat to see these youngsters racing, I don’t think I could have ever let my own kids do it.  It looks like it could be pretty dangerous, not to mention very expensive!  But it is exciting to watch.
