You will do great job!

I was a little surprised that Mike (I mean Bishop) would do that to you too, but you’ll do great! The Lord know what He’s doing. I’m so happy for you. :)

I was also surprised to find out that you were the one called. But I know that you are the one for the job. You are soo great with the girls, they will be even more blessed having you more in their lives. I am going to miss it sooo much, and I will miss you! :)

Oh my goodness! Things are hoppin’ at your house. As hard as it is to keep up and fulfill all of those rolls, I know you will do it well.

Utah newborn photographer | 10 things I love!

1. Photography… I honestly can’t believe I waited this long to make it my business! 2. Babies… There is nothing like the sweetness of a brand new life… I am loving all these new born babies I get to photograph because I probably won’t get to be a grandma for a while. 3.  Flash Forward……

Wendy, your pictures are fantastic! I LOVE this one of the baby in the scale! I’ve been reading through some of your older posts and just wanted to say thanks for the reality check. You are right, the time with my kids is going by fast…Lets just say that you’ve posted some great advice and I really appreciate it. Thank you. I’m going to do better and slow down!

I didn’t know you loved photography but you are really talented and I am a huge fan of your pictures! Have a great day!!

It’s Friday!!

Do you ever have those weeks when Friday can’t get here fast enough?  Me too, and when I do I often look back and think… what was the rush?   These past months I have found myself reflecting all too often on times that went by WAY to fast.  That is one of the hard…

You know it was so funny, when Rachel sent me her list I realized this would be the perfect way to teach my kids. Tell them what I wished I had done different. Not what I did right, but what I did wrong.
As a mom that is the type of advice I learn best from. An older mother telling me the things she wished she would have done differently. It works so much better than just telling someone all the things they were fantastic with, don’t you think?
Anyhoo I decided I would give my daughter a letter at 13 to tell her what I would tell myself then if I had the chance, and maybe just a few of the things I think I did right.
Thank you so much for your support of TMH, it really means a lot to us!
Things I would tell my teenage self:

-Shirts that show your belly are not cute
-If a boy 4 years older than you tells you he loves you, RUN AWAY!!
-You have the rest of your life to be a grown up
-Some people may dissapoint you, but there still good people, nobody is perfect. Not even your mother.
-Spend more time with friends, they will be your crutch one day
-Call your grandmother

ps, I totally had one of those weeks too ;)

Kristy - April 9, 2010 - 2:13 pm

I would tell my teenage self that when your Dad asks if you want to go into town with him, just the 2 of you, I should have said yes. Instead of deciding to sleep in longer. I should have had more one on one time with him before he was gone.
