It seems appropriate… |Utah Newborn Photographer

Last week I had the fabulous opportunity to photograph another Sophie (must be this year’s girl name, lol).  She is the fourth child in her family and the only girl!  Already, she has daddy (as well as brother’s I’m sure) wrapped around her finger!  Dad will be leaving to his second tour of duty overseas in the next month.  I am always so impressed by our servicemen and woman who sacrifice so much to serve their country!  Dad brought along his combat boots and a camouflage hat that we were able to use in a few images.  What a precious way to preserve those tender feelings of leaving a newborn, wife, and three boys to fulfill your duties.  In conversation, I asked mom and dad about the specifics of his tour and I could tell that feelings were very close to the surface…. on this 4th of July weekend I could think of no better way than to share little Sophie’s picture next to her daddy’s combat boots… a gentle reminder of the fragility of the freedoms that we enjoy in this country and a tribute to those who sacrifice to preserve it!  A big “Thank You!” goes out to all of you!
